Chief Technology Officer (CTO)
ECLARO’s client, a leading technology solutions provider, is looking for an executive leader based in Medford, NY. The CTO will be a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for defining and executing a long‑term technology vision that supports the organization’s strategic objectives, enhances member experience, strengthens cybersecurity, and ensures regulatory compliance. The role will serve as the primary technology advisor to the President, CEO, executive team, and Board of Directors.
- The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) provides enterprise‑wide executive leadership for all technology, information systems, and digital capabilities. As a member of the executive leadership team, the CTO is responsible for defining and executing a long‑term technology vision that enables the credit union’s strategic objectives, enhances member experience, strengthens cybersecurity and operational resilience, and ensures regulatory compliance.
- This role serves as the primary technology advisor to the President and CEO, executive leadership team, and Board of Directors.
- The CTO oversees technology strategy, infrastructure, cybersecurity, core processing, digital platforms, data, vendor partnerships, and emerging technologies, while fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and service excellence.
- Establish and execute a multi‑year enterprise technology strategy aligned with our strategic plan, risk appetite, and member‑centric goals.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership and the Board of Directors on technology trends, emerging technologies, digital transformation, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity risk, and long‑term investment priorities.
- Partner with senior executives to embed technology capabilities into business strategy, product development, operational efficiency, and member experience initiatives.
- Provide regular executive‑level reporting to the board and senior leadership on technology performance, risk posture, major initiatives, and emerging issues.
- Oversee all technology operations including infrastructure, networks, systems, applications, data platforms, and end‑user services.
- Ensure technology platforms are scalable, secure, interoperable, and aligned with lifecycle management and modernization standards.
- Establish enterprise architecture standards to support reliability, performance, and future growth.
- Provide executive oversight and escalation leadership for complex or high‑impact technology incidents affecting members, employees, or regulatory posture.
- Own the credit union’s information security strategy, in alignment with regulatory expectations and enterprise risk management practices.
- Establish and maintain cybersecurity governance, policies, and controls, including third‑party risk management for technology vendors.
- Partner closely with Compliance leadership on Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, and Incident Response programs.
- Oversee disaster recovery planning, testing, and execution for technology infrastructure and critical systems.
- Ensure readiness for and achieve satisfactory outcomes in internal audits, external audits, penetration testing, regulatory examinations, and vendor reviews.
- Provide executive ownership of the Client DNA core processing platform, including full lifecycle management, performance governance, vendor relationship management, and strategic roadmap planning.
- Ensure effective management of enhancement requests, system upgrades, vendor SLAs, and issue resolution.
- Lead enterprise technology vendor strategy, contract negotiations, performance management, and due diligence.
- Oversee the technology budget, including annual planning, capital investments, and ongoing expense management.
- Ensure technology investments deliver measurable business value and align with strategic priorities.
- Partner with Finance and executive leadership on long‑term technology investment planning and cost optimization.
- Lead, develop, and retain a high‑performing technology organization across infrastructure, operations, cybersecurity, and systems.
