Position: Insurance Producer (Personal Lines & Commercial Lines)

Job Description

Risman Insurance Agencies is growing and looking to add a motivated, relationship-driven Insurance Producer to our team. This role is ideal for a professional who enjoys building trusted client relationships, identifying coverage needs, and delivering thoughtful insurance solutions.

As a Producer, you’ll focus on developing new business while working closely with our experienced service and account management teams to ensure clients receive exceptional support. This is a career-focused opportunity with room for long-term growth at a well-established independent agency.

Responsibilities
  • Develop new personal and/or commercial insurance business through referrals, networking, and prospecting
  • Conduct client conversations to identify risks, coverage gaps, and insurance needs
  • Present tailored insurance solutions clearly and confidently
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships
  • Collaborate with account managers and internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding and ongoing service
  • Support renewal and account growth opportunities through proactive engagement
  • Maintain accurate documentation and activity within the agency management system
  • Represent Risman Insurance Agencies professionally in the community and marketplace
Requirements
  • Prior insurance sales or producer experience preferred (agency experience strongly valued)
  • Active Massachusetts Property & Casualty license (or ability to obtain)
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Consultative sales approach with a focus on client education and trust
  • Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable managing a sales pipeline
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
  • Desire to build a long-term career with growth potential
