Our Clinical Documentation Specialists report to the Sr.Manager Clinical Documentation and provide administrativesupport for various projects.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Prints all necessary reports to aide in verifying the medical record complete for claims submission.
  • Verifies insurance for individual patients.
  • Monitors and reports any eligibilities changes to the correct departments.
  • Updates billing rules to the correct payer.
  • Helps to review clinical documentation to verify that it meets billing requirements for specific insurances.
  • Reaches out to other members of the staff to obtain missing or corrected documents.
  • Assists the billing department in any additional tasks.
  • Performs other duties as assigned .

WHAT YOU HAVE

  • Experience in an office setting
  • Working knowledge of computer software (e.g. Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel)

Preferred

Education and Experience:

  • Experience with Home Health Care billing processes
  • Experience with Medicare rules and regulations
  • Any billing or coding certifications

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Occasionally required to stand.
  • Occasionally required to walk.
  • Frequently required to sit.
  • Continually required to use hands and fingers.
  • Occasionally required climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl.
  • Occasionally required to lift/push light weights (less than 25 pounds).
