Per the Part‑time Lecturer Collective Bargaining Agreement the per course rate for AY 2026‑2027 is $9,669.
The Museum Studies Program at Tufts University seeks a part‑time lecturer to teach a graduate‑level course, ED 0286 Museums and Digital Media, in Fall 2026. This interdisciplinary course introduces students to new and emerging museum digital strategies and scholarship and teaches them to use digital media of all varieties to help museums engage their audiences, document and interpret their collections, and tell their stories.
The course will explore the interpretive, technical, legal, ethical, and financial issues of using state‑of‑the‑art media resources in museums.
The ideal candidate will have experience with planning, implementing, and evaluating digital interpretive strategies in museums, including interactive web‑based projects, web‑based collections, databases, podcasting, and mobile touring devices. They will also have substantial teaching experience, ideally at the graduate level. A Master of Arts degree is preferred.
The three‑hour class meets on Monday evenings in the fall semester on Tufts' Medford campus.
