The Civi Group has partnered with a leading provider of AEC Consulting solutions in Medford, MA on their search for a Project Superintendent with experience in the life science sector to work on medium to large-scale Construction Projects.

This Project Superintendent will be responsible for directing all earthwork, installations, and construction activities on projects. They will supervise and manage the field personnel as required to successfully complete construction on schedule and within budget. This includes maintaining the highest levels of safety, quality, documentation, and communication with all trade and field personnel.

Project Types: Life Sciences

Salary: The compensation package depends on experience but is up to 200K and will include a mix of base salary, bonus, full benefits, etc.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop a work sequence with a detailed plan of attack, ensuring the effective and efficient utilization of work crews prior to mobilization, with particular attention to cleanroom environments and other life science-specific requirements.
• Read, understand, and interpret complex project drawings and specifications, including those unique to life science facilities such as laboratories and research centers.
• Monitor production, resource utilization, and job costs versus estimated costs to maintain profit margins, with a keen eye on the stringent budget and compliance requirements typical of life science projects.
• Conduct project close-out activities, focusing on the specific needs of life science facilities such as coordinating detailed punch lists, furnishing as-built drawings, providing operations and maintenance (O&M) manuals, and compiling final estimate/retainer billing.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety practices, including those specific to life science environments, follow company safety procedures, and actively cooperate with safety representatives to maintain a proactive, compliance-focused safety culture.

Skills &

Qualification:

• Bachelors degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or any related field (preferred).
• Minimum of 5 years of superintendent experience, specifically in environments related to life sciences such as pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or healthcare construction.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, industry standards, and specific regulations relevant to life sciences.
• Experienced in scheduling, ordering materials, field supervision, safety management, quality control, and budgeting, with a focus on meeting the unique demands of life science construction projects.
