• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights, required to work every other weekend/major holiday
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1780-$1910

Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Virginia or covered by compact
• 1 year of RN experience required
• 6 months of RN experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred
• BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• Telemetry and surgical experience required
• Proficiency with lab draws required
• Must pass EKG exam at orientation

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments
• Create and implement plans of care
• Administer medications safely
• Coordinate patient care across hospital departments
• Advocate for patient safety and quality improvement
• Manage patients with multi-system organ failure and trauma
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams
• Provide patient and family education
