Registered Nurse (RN) - Charge Nurse - Mother Infant Unit (MIU) - Memorial Regional Medical Center
Join the Bon Secours family as a Charge Nurse in the Mother Infant Unit at Memorial Regional Medical Center. This role supports compassionate care within a 150‑year‑old network, ensuring excellence in clinical practice and optimal efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate nursing and interprofessional team activities to maintain high‑quality patient care.
- Adjust schedules and patient assignments to respond to acuity changes, patient population, resources, and care design.
- Supervise staff and provide clinical support, assuming management responsibility in the absence of the nurse manager or clinical care leader.
- Employ the Nursing Process and clinical knowledge to sustain an environment of continuous improvement.
Minimum Education
4‑year Bachelor’s Degree.
Specialty / MajorBSN in Nursing must be obtained within 2 years of hire.
Licensure / CertificationRegistered Nurse licensed in Virginia.
Minimum Qualifications- 18–24 months of experience demonstrating clinical, psychological, and pathophysiological theories related to nursing diagnosis and treatment.
- Knowledge of nursing policies & procedures, standards, systems, and equipment.
- Must be a Clinical Nurse II or submit a portfolio upon hire.
- Familiarity with management/leadership theories, teaching skills, and group dynamics.
- Previous charge nurse or supervisory experience.
The position may be eligible for a bonus up to $5,000 for external applicants with at least one year of RN experience (internal BSMH associates are not eligible for sign‑on bonuses).
