Job Description BAE Systems is seeking a Software Developer to support our work as a prime contractor on a high-profile U.S. Navy logistics program. As a Software Developer, you will be responsible for:

* Owning the design, development, test, and modifications of high-quality software.

* Maintaining as well as modernizing legacy software into a cloud environment using Git Ops and Continuous Delivery.

* Evaluating and understanding complex interfaces and architecture.

* Communicating and collaborating effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

* Developing technical documentation for knowledge sharing and maintenance guides.
About BAE Systems and the U.S. Navy's Strategic Systems Programs (SSP)
Our organization has supported the U.S. Navy's Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) continually since the program's inception in the 1950s. SSP developed the first sea-based, underwater-launched Strategic Weapon System (SWS), a defense system that is truly critical to our national security. For more than six decades, SSP has maintained and upgraded this weapon system and we have been there every step of the way.

The sea-based SWS is the ultimate stealthy weapon system and is the first leg of the U.S. nuclear triad. The development of Columbia, the most advanced nuclear-powered, nuclear-armed submarine ever designed, as well the next D5LE2 weapon system is under way and will begin to be rolled out over the next decade.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills Education and years of related/relevant work expereince reqiured:
Bachelor's degree, and at least two years of related work experience, preferred. Will also consider an associate's degree and at least four years of related/relevant work experience or high school diploma and at least six years of related/relevant work experience. Additional skills/experience required:

* Strong interpersonal skills to interact with diverse work teams

* Experience with .NET Framework and/or .NET Core using C# Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
* Passionate about continuous delivery and test-driven development

* Experience modernizing .NET framework applications

* Familiarity with modern JavaScript/Type Script and front-end frameworks like Vue

* Understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles and design patterns

* Understanding of trunk-based development using git

* Cloud Development (AWS / Azure)
* .Net Framework Web Forms

* Docker Containers

* Agile methodologies

* Familiar with unit and API testing

* Knowledge of Microsoft Azure Dev Ops, Git Lab, or Jira

* Working knowledge of TOAD for Oracle

* Web application security and vulnerability analysis

* IAT Level II cybersecurity certification (i.e., Security+) Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $72150 - $122655
