Shift
:
Monday-Friday, 12 p.m.
-9 p.m., occasional Saturday based on business needs
Position:
Transportation Team Leader in Mebane to oversee all inbound and outbound activities at a distribution center. The Transportation Team Leader will lead a team of logistics associates and resolve customer, carrier and personnel problems that arise.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and coach a team of associates.
- Maintain positive relationships with on-site customer leaders.
- Resolve all transportation and shipping related problems and communicate resolution plans to the customer.
- Make employment-related decisions.
- Create and maintain a high-performance environment.
Skills and qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in transportation, logistics or a related field.
- Two plus years of related work experience.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Goal-driven and motivated to reach desired outcomes.
- Able to positively coach, lead and influence a team.
