Reporting LineThis Position reports to:
Business Line Leader, ELDS North America.
In this role, you will help run what runs the world by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact. Each day, you act as a partner for the team’s management in the development and implementation of winning strategies. You showcase your expertise by creating proposals for profitable growth and differentiation based on a deep understanding of ABB’s businesses and market environment.
The work model is remote (#Li-Remote) and can be based anywhere in the U.S.
- Lead the Electrification Distribution Solutions North America Business Line in the Definition, Design & Execution of a mid-long term strategic planning methodology and lead strategic projects creating work plans that translate strategic frameworks into concrete actions and deliverables and align them with stakeholders.
- Develop a clear understanding of market developments and the competitive environment of relevant ABB businesses to generate new ideas (Business Intelligence).
- Identify and analyze major trends, strategic opportunities, and/or challenges for ABB, including sustainability.
- Organize and synthesize facts into clear analysis to provide impactful insights for strategic, operational, and sustainability related initiatives and identify opportunities and drive external innovation partnerships.

Qualifications for the Role- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- 10 years of experience required.
- Proven experience in a strategy role, ideally providing strategic consultative services to end-to-end businesses, ideally in the Electrical or complementary segment.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end P&L management, including defining market segment, identifying available market, developing short-mid-long term strategies, setting ambitious and realistic targets for the organization & implementing strategic framework.
- Experience evaluating local division portfolio opportunities (aligned with local & global M&A teams).
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels, as well as proven leadership capabilities, including team management, coaching, and talent development.
- Strategic Thinking and Vision: ability to develop long‑term strategies aligned with organizational goals, foresee industry trends, and anticipate future challenges and opportunities. This involves a deep understanding of market dynamics, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies.
- Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the U.S.
