Job Title: Supervisor, Talent Acquisition
Department: Human Resources
Reports to: Manager Talent Acquisition
Location: Mebane, NC (on-site)
Job Purpose The Supervisor, Talent Acquisition primarily oversees full-cycle recruitment for our two Fulfillment Centers in Mebane, NC, along with other high-volume areas, ensuring the organization is staffed to meet customer experience, quality, and operational goals across our e-commerce businesses. This role leads a recruiting team focused on high-volume hiring, with particular emphasis on supporting peak hiring seasons from May through September.
MajorAccountabilities / Responsibilities
- People Leadership
- Build, lead, and sustain a high-performing, highly engaged recruiting team. This role will supervise both permanent and seasonal team members.
- Serve as a trusted partner to operational leaders and hiring managers, aligning recruiting efforts with workforce needs and expectations.
- Create, communicate, and regularly review individual performance standards with team members.
- Lead performance management, including reviews, recognition, and corrective action for recruiting team.
- Identify and develop team members’ strengths to maximize their impact and growth.
- Responsible for accurate timekeeping and attendance tracking for recruiting team.
- Establish and evolve best practices for recruiting processes.
- Troubleshoot recruiting / hiring related process questions (background checks, rehire eligibility, etc.), partnering with appropriate resources as needed.
- Oversee day-to-day operations of recruiting team, with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment regulations.
- Data and Metrics
- Report recruiting metrics to HR leaders, including applicant volume, pipeline health, hires, and time-to-fill.
- Track and communicate return on investment for recruiting strategies and sourcing channels.
- Continuously evaluate processes to improve hiring outcomes.
- Maintain regular, consistent communication with hiring managers so they feel informed and supported.
- Sourcing
- Post and sponsor jobs across various platforms within budget.
- Ensure sufficient pipeline volume by holding the team accountable for phone screens, interviews, and follow-ups.
- Take proactive action when applicant volume/flow is low.
- Build and maintain relationships with community partners that add value to the recruiting process.
- Recruiting Scope
- Primarily responsible for recruiting for the Customer Fulfillment Center and Washington St locations and Service Center in Hillsborough, NC.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute high-volume seasonal recruiting to ensure staffing needs are met during peak operational periods (May - September).
- Perform intake with hiring managers to define needs, ideal candidate profiles, and hiring timelines.
- Create and execute sourcing plans to actively seek ideal talent.
- Help facilitate recruitment for CFC leadership positions, partnering with Manager Talent Acquisition.
- Help recruit in other areas as volume indicates.
- Onboarding
- Own the onboarding experience from offer acceptance through day one.
- Ensure that onboarding of new hires is efficient, correct, and welcoming across the organization.
- Ensure all new hire information is entered correctly and timely across all systems.
- Ensure that orientation effectively communicates company background, culture, safety, and expectations.
- Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- One (1) year of experience in a Talent Acquisition role required, preferably in a high-volume or warehouse/distribution environment.
- People leadership experience preferred.
- Experience with full-cycle recruiting, including job postings, sourcing, screening, interviewing, offering, background checks, and onboarding.
- Experience with application tracking systems or human resource information systems. Experience with Dayforce is a plus.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills and the ability to pull and manage complex data for insights into processes.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, along with attention to detail.
