Overview
The Maintenance and Reliability Engineer is responsible for ensuring maintenance processes are efficient and effective, equipment is designed and/or modified to improve maintainability and review ongoing technical problems for continual improvement to reduce downtime and increase the life of the asset.
What You ll Do- Supervision and Personnel Maintenance: eConducts timely and accurate employee performance evaluations; addresses performance issues as needed
- Manages attendance of direct reports including but not limited to tracking hours and monitoring/approving vacation and sick leave
- Schedules and assigns work; determines proper staffing levels in order to maintain schedule and keep with demand
- Maintainability of equipment/installations:
Develops and maintains a process that influences new construction and equipment purchase(s) to ensure maintainability and reliability of new equipment - Maintain current and future approved components used by suppliers to maintain consistency in equipment and the use of familiar component brand
- Identify and setup the necessary spare parts and preventative maintenance plans for equipment to minimize downtime under the consideration of cost and lead time
- Reliability Maintenance:
Assist in the creation and modifications of the maintenance programs for effectiveness. These programs include, but not limited to, predictive, preventative and corrective maintenance - Identify and correct repetitive failures and costly breakdowns with the maintenance team
- Maintain and analyze equipment/maintenance records to predict maintenance needs
- Projects and Outsourcing:
Organize and facilitate outsourcing for 3rd party maintenance/construction activities - Participate in projects and workshop activities within and outside of the department to improve the maintainability and serviceability of equipment
- Other:
Attends meetings as required and/or assigned. Performs other duties as required and/or assigned - Special Job Dimensions:

- Knowledge of mechanical and electrical technology including hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, and drives
- Knowledge of predictive and preventative maintenance procedures
- Ability to read and interpret technical plans, drawings, and blueprints
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SAP
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques and continuous improvement processes
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to effectively communicate with personnel at all levels of the organization
- Ability to work well under deadlines, and ability to work well with a cross-functional team to accomplish results
- Ability to perform with superior service, reflecting a positive company image while sustain a positive attitude with those you interact with; always going above and beyond to help others out, regardless of their position or department
- Ability to adhere to the highest standards of quality while continually performing at the highest possible
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or Technology OR 5 years of experience with maintenance and reliability

- Compensation Base: $91,000 - $125,000 annually, based on education, experience, and geography
- Bonus:
