The Admissions & Financial Aid Counselor is a primary representative of McPherson College and plays a key role in achieving enrollment goals. This field-based position requires approximately 50% travel to high schools, college fairs, and recruitment events. The Counselor develops and executes a strategic territory plan, builds relationships with school and community partners, and guides prospective students from inquiry through enrollment.
The Counselor maintains consistent communication with students and families, utilizing Slate CRM to manage outreach and track pipeline progress. The role includes counseling families on academic programs and financial aid processes while collaborating with Enrollment and Marketing to strengthen recruitment efforts. Success in this position requires strong relationship-building skills, organization, initiative, and comfort with sustained travel.
Experience:
Experience in college admissions, financial aid, recruitment or any sales experience preferred.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree required.

Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to build and sustain professional relationships.
