McPherson USD #418 is looking for qualified individuals to help serve as a Substitute Teacher.

QUALIFICATIONS: 60 hours of college credit

PROCESS: This is a two step process:

INFORMATION:

• You will need fingerprints and transcripts for your KSDE application. We are able to do your fingerprints in our office. Call 241-9400 x145 or email  to make an appointment. The fee for fingerprints is to be paid by the applicant.
• We require a drug and background check for employment with USD 418. The cost for this is paid for by the district.
• Currently our wage is $110 per day for the first year with the district. Year 2 substitutes are paid $120 per day, Year 3 are paid $130 per day, Year 4+ are paid $140 per day, and retired teachers with a certified license are paid $150 per day. If a substitute works fewer than two hours in one day, they receive pay for a minimum of two hours.
  
  A day is 7 hours and if you work fewer than 6, you are paid by the hour. The hourly rate is the daily rate divided by 7 hours.
