Position Summary:The Traveling Maintenance Assistant (based out of Beaverton, Oregon) plays a vital role in supporting The Springs Living communities by ensuring our environments are safe, well-maintained, and welcoming. This is a travel-based position providing hands-on maintenance support across multiple Springs Living locations.
Reporting to the Director of Asset Integrity, this role works closely with Plant Operations Managers and community leadership to uphold consistent, high-quality maintenance standards at every community. Flexibility, adaptability, and a strong commitment to customer service are essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:- Travel regularly to multiple Springs Living communities to support maintenance of facility exteriors, including buildings, room turns, lawns, plant and flower beds, walkways, driveways, and parking areas
- Provide on-site maintenance support for facility interiors such as resident apartments, common areas, offices, storage rooms, and kitchens, ensuring consistent standards across communities
- Transport, use, and safely store maintenance equipment and supplies while working at different locations
- Communicate routinely with Community Directors, Plant Operations Managers, and the Director of Asset Integrity regarding facility conditions and maintenance needs
- Adapt to changing schedules, locations, and community priorities, offering flexible support wherever needed to maintain The Springs Living standards
- Previous experience in construction or apartment maintenance preferred
- Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
- CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain as required by state regulations)
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret administrative regulations
- Ability to follow written, oral, electronic, and schedule-based instructions
- Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to manage varied situations
- Ability to prioritize, organize, and manage multiple assignments
- Proficient PC skills, including email, record keeping, databases, word processing, and spreadsheets
