Position: Rural School/Clinic Based Therapist

Overview

Yamhill County has one regular full-time position for a General Outpatient Therapist to work on the Family & Youth team providing mental health services to children and their families. This position is split: 20 hours per week based in the McMinnville clinic, and 20 hours based in a rural school setting. Duties include client engagement, crisis support, diagnosing, direct treatment, integrated behavioral health assessments, service planning and implementation, individual and family therapy, case management, and collaborative service documentation.

The position may provide clinic-based crisis coverage during regular business hours as part of a team rotation; hybrid option will be dependent on caseload.

This position may be filled as either an Advanced Practice Behavioral Health Clinician or a Behavioral Health Clinician, depending on experience and credentialing.

Salary

Advanced Practice Behavioral Health Clinician Salary: $6450- $8171/month (DOE)

Behavioral Health Clinician Salary: $5925 - $7571/month (DOE)

The Qualifications
  • A master's degree from an accredited school in social work, clinical psychology, or a related field.
  • One year of experience as a Human Services Specialist I.
    • Any satisfactory equivalent combination of experience and training which ensures ability to perform the work may substitute for the above.
  • Must qualify as QMHP, CADC, or QMRP to work in respective fields.
  • Must have an NPI number or the ability to obtain one upon employment.
  • May require licensing.

Preference will be given to those applicants with training and experience in evidence-based practices and experience providing intensive mental health and addictions services in a community-based setting.

Will be subject to successful completion of a background check.

The Candidate

The successful candidate will have excellent skills in organization, paperwork management, and communication - both verbally and in writing, in addition to typing and computer proficiency. They must be able to prepare concise and complete client treatment progress records. They will be dependable, organized, self-directed, detail-oriented, and possess the ability to interact with co-workers, clients, and the public in a courteous, professional manner.

They must have working knowledge of community mental health and chemical dependency services and demonstrated knowledge and skill with diagnosis, evaluation, and treatment planning techniques specifically related to community mental health services. The abilities to understand the behavior of people under stress, develop cooperative relationships with clients, their families, and the community, and maintain relationships with physicians, law enforcement agencies, the courts, public and private administrators, and the community in general are also required.
