What You’ll Be Doing
As a CT Scan Technician, you’ll play a critical role in diagnostic imaging and patient care by:
- Reviewing patient history and physician orders to ensure accurate imaging
- Educating patients on procedures, equipment, and expectations
- Preparing and administering contrast media and medications within scope of practice
- Continuously monitoring patient condition and responding to changes appropriately
- Preparing, operating, and maintaining CT imaging equipment
- Selecting appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters
- Performing quality control checks and adhering to safety standards
- Positioning patients and performing CT imaging procedures
- Evaluating image quality and resolving issues through repositioning or repeat scans
- Accurately entering, transmitting, and reporting scan results
- Troubleshooting and reporting equipment malfunctions as needed
What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications:
- Associate’s Degree (Bachelor’s preferred)
- Current Radiation Operator License in the state of Oregon
- ARRT Registration in Radiology
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
