Manufacturing Engineer
The Manufacturing Engineer provides direct, hands‑on support to active production lines, ensuring operational continuity and resolving issues that impact throughput, quality, or safety. This role focuses heavily on troubleshooting production stops, repairing or redesigning tooling and fixtures, and supporting operators with real‑time engineering solutions.
Responsibilities- Provide hands‑on support to production lines to ensure operational continuity.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues such as damaged tools, mold defects, part nonconformances, and safety concerns.
- Repair or redesign tooling and fixtures using CAD software, particularly Solid Works.
- Manage Requests for Engineering Assistance (REAs) to improve material handling, manufacturing instructions, and processes.
- Collaborate with production leads, quality engineering, and operations to drive continuous improvement and maintain seamless production flow.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and practical mechanical understanding.
- Proficiency in CAD software, with Solid Works required and CATIA as a plus.
- Experience in manufacturing environments and process improvement.
- Ability to handle and update Requests for Engineering Assistance (REAs).
- Clear writing and documentation skills.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in fixture design and documentation management.
- Experience in aerospace engineering is beneficial.
- Project management skills are desirable.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles.
The work environment is a manufacturing setting where the engineer will be actively engaged on the production floor, working closely with engineers and operators. The role requires problem solving, troubleshooting, and a hands‑on approach.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mcminnville, OR.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40.00 – $48.00 per hour.
