Responsible for designing and developing automated application builds and deployments. Includes software development and deployment guidelines and tools relating to source management, build, deploy, and unit/acceptance/performance testing.

• Design and develop automated application builds and deployments.
• Work closely with developers, test automation and performance specialists, release management and infrastructure specialists.
• Participate in planning discussions with development and other IT teams.
• Execute Proof of Concepts on configuration management, CI/CD, assessing new products and methods.
• Continuously evaluate and recommend improvements to CI/CD processes.
• Design, document and optimize CI/CD strategies to reduce costs while ensuring quality.
• Maintain expertise in architecture, industry trends, strategies and products.
• Effectively communicate guidelines and tool usage to IT Development and other IT team members.

• 5-7 years experience designing and developing automated application builds and deployments.
• Understanding of source control, branching and merge strategies.
• Knowledge of Windows, Linux and UNIX operating systems.
• Database knowledge:
  Oracle / MS SQL Server.
• Experience with continuous integration tools such as Hudson or Jenkins, Maven, Nexus or equivalent repository manager.
• Experience with continuous deployment tools such as uDeploy or equivalent auto deploy tool.
• Scripting skills:
  Ruby.
• Other tools:
  Subversion, Git, Jenkins, Electric Cloud, Anthill Pro, uBuild, uDeploy, etc.
• Frameworks:
  Cucumber.

• Continuous deployment tool sets:
  Anthill Pro, uDeploy, etc.
• Other Tools:
  Subversion, Nexus, Accurev, Git, MSTest, SoapUI, Quality Center, HP ALM, other unit and acceptance testing tools.
• Technologies:
  Java, .NET, UNIX/Linux, Oracle, SQL Server, PROFILE, Web Sphere, Web Logic, IIS.
• J2EE 5 – Expert.
