We’re looking for a back-end developer with the software engineering skills it takes to help identify potential risks, contribute to solution development, and create efficient and effective systems for our clients.

As a Back-End Developer at Booz Allen, you’ll use the latest architectural approaches and open-source frameworks and tools to help deliver solutions. Using your software engineering knowledge, you’ll work with and learn from the development team to create custom tools, systems, and sites with consistent performance and  this role, you’ll make a mission-forward impact as you sharpen your skill set and grow your career.

** You Have:
*** 4+ years of experience implementing RESTful APIs
* 4+ years of experience in software development using basic programming languages, technologies, tools, or web development stacks
* 2+ years of experience working with containers or serverless cloud functions
* Experience with Agile methodology, extreme programming, software engineering, product management, and software products
* Experience creating solutions to complex problems within a collaborative, cross-functional team
* Knowledge of developing and maintaining the technology needed to power the components which enable the user-facing side of enterprise applications databases, conceptualizing and implementing data storage solutions, running performance testing and benchmarking, and optimizing data performance
* Public Trust
* Bachelor's degree
** Nice If You Have:
*** Experience with Java, JavaScript, SQL, Python, Server-Side Development, Middleware, Application or Data Integration, API Development, Core Application Systems, Node.js, Groovy, Scala, Spring Cloud, Spring Core, Spring-Boot, or Spring Data
* Ability to write source code for new applications or generate and enhance code samples for existing applications
* Ability to acquire client requirements and resolve workflow problems through automation optimization
* Ability to work with automated testing tools to perform testing and maintenance

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements.
