Security Guard - Armed Foot Patrol in Mc Lean, VA serves and safeguards clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. Join Allied Universal at a hotel and resort location as an armed patrol officer, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that may help to deter security‑related incidents.

- Provide customer service to guests, visitors, and staff by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a hotel and resort location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, including guest concerns, disturbances, medical situations, and fire or alarm activations.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas such as lobbies, hallways, and amenity spaces and/or exterior areas such as parking lots, loading areas, and perimeter points to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and observe activity for unusual behavior, report concerns, and assist with maintaining an orderly environment while supporting hotel operations.
- Complete patrol and incident documentation, communicate updates to site leadership and emergency services when needed, and assist with investigations by preserving observations and available information.
- Have 1+ years’ armed security‑related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet (preferred).
- Have customer service experience (preferred).
- Have access control and/or badge experience (preferred).
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
