MITRE Lab's Energy, Environmental, Material and Chemical Sciences Department serves as a vanguard for MITRE to meet the future needs of our customers, requiring technical excellence while encouraging creativity and fostering interests in current and emerging technologies across its diverse employees.

Job Responsibilities

* Review and evaluate current state of the art standoff sensing technologies

* Work with drone range operators to identify environmental risks and mitigations for testing advanced standoff sensing capabilities

* Support the development of a research test plan to incorporate sensing technologies with autonomous platform

Basic Qualifications

* Must be a full-time student pursuing an accredited degree program in chemistry, biology, or a related discipline

* Demonstrated excellence in math, physics, chemistry and biology.

* Laboratory skills in chemistry, biology, or a related discipline

* Demonstrated programming proficiencies

* Sustained excellence in academic performance

Preferred Qualifications

* Demonstrated interest in serving the public

* Strong understanding of mathematical methods for data analysis

* Prior experience synthesizing organizing and reporting complex data topics

* Ability to work both independently and in a group setting

Salary compensation range and midpoint:

$46,500 - $58,000 - $69,500 Annual
