As a Brand Sales Specialist for IBM's Automation Platform, you will create demand and progress opportunities to close for Automation Platform solutions. This role involves driving sales efforts for a wide range of products, including Cloud Pak for Applications, Dev Ops, and Web Sphere Application Server.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Develop Demand Opportunities:
Create and identify new sales opportunities for Automation Platform solutions, working closely with clients to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions. - Progress Opportunities to Close:
Build relationships with clients and drive sales efforts to progress opportunities through the sales cycle, ensuring timely closure of deals. - Solution Delivery:
Collaborate with internal teams to deliver Automation Platform solutions that meet client needs, leveraging your knowledge of products such as Cloud Pak for Integration and Data Power. - Client‑Facing
Activities:
Engage in client‑facing activities, including sales calls, meetings, and presentations, to promote Automation Platform solutions and build strong relationships with clients. - Sales Strategy Execution:
Execute sales strategies and plans to achieve sales targets, staying up‑to‑date with industry trends and competitor activity to maintain a competitive edge.
- Automation Platform Solutions Knowledge:
Experience with a range of Automation Platform solutions, including Cloud Pak for Applications, Dev Ops, and Web Sphere Application Server, with the ability to identify and create new sales opportunities. - Technical Product Knowledge:
Exposure to products such as Cloud Pak for Integration, Data Power, and Web Sphere Service Registry/Repository, with an understanding of how they can be leveraged to meet client needs. - Sales Cycle Management:
Experience with progressing opportunities through the sales cycle, building relationships with clients, and driving sales efforts to ensure timely closure of deals. - Industry Trend Awareness:
Familiarity with industry trends and competitor activity, with the ability to stay up‑to‑date and maintain a competitive edge in the market. - Solution Delivery
Collaboration:
Experience working with internal teams to deliver Automation Platform solutions that meet client needs, with an understanding of how to leverage knowledge of products to drive solution delivery.
- Additional Automation Solutions Knowledge:
Exposure to other Automation Platform solutions such as Spectrum High Performance Computing, API Connect, and App Connect, with an understanding of how they can be leveraged to meet client needs. - Extended Technical Product Knowledge:
Familiarity with products such as Aspera, Cloud Native Gateway, and MQ, with an understanding of how they can be used to drive solution delivery. - Industry‑Specific Knowledge:
Experience working with clients in specific industries, such as finance or healthcare, with an understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities in these sectors.
