Job summaryReporting to the Senior Director of Corporate Partnerships, the Assistant Director of Corporate Partnerships is responsible for developing, managing and growing strategic corporate relationships that result in significant philanthropic revenue and mission-aligned partnerships. This role focuses on identifying, cultivating, soliciting and closing corporate gifts and sponsor ships in the 5-6 figure range, while stewarding long-term partnerships that advance organizational impact and corporate objectives.
The Assistant Director of Corporate Partnerships will work collaboratively as part of the development team to build and execute comprehensive donor strategies and increase funding and awareness of FARE and its mission.
key Responsibilities
corporate partnership development & revenue generation
- Develop and execute a comprehensive corporate partnership strategy to secure new and renewed corporate support.
- Personally solicit, negotiate and close 5-6 figure corporate gifts, sponsor ships and in-kind donations.
- Build and manage a robust pipeline of corporate prospects, from initial outreach through closing and stewardship.
- Prepare compelling proposals, pitch decks and partnership packages aligned with corporate goals.
RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT & STEWARDSHIP
- Serve as primary relationship manager for a portfolio of corporate partners.
- Ensure timely stewardship, reporting and recognition for all corporate gifts.
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver partnership benefits and fulfill sponsor commitments.
CROSS-FUNCTIONAL COLLABORATION
- Partner with program, marketing and leadership teams to align corporate partnerships with organizational priorities.
- Collaborate with events and communications teams on sponsorship activations.
- Track and report partnership performance, revenue projections and outcomes.
- Contribute to annual revenue goals and long-term fundraising planning.
- Represent the organization at events and conferences.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support all development department team members
Required qualifications
- 5-7+ years of experience in nonprofit development, corporate partnerships or related fundraising roles.
- Demonstrated success closing corporate gifts in 5-6 figure range.
- Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills with corporate decision-makers.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written skills and effective organizational skills with attention to details.
- A team player with a positive attitude; comfortable working with all levels of staff.
- Flexibility in varied job assignments.
- Flexibility with schedule (available to work during company events & conferences).
- Ability to travel as needed.
Education and experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- 5-7+ years of experience with fundraising, corporate partnerships, sponsor ships, events, or related activities within a nonprofit organization.
- Proficient in the use of all MS Office programs, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Database management experience preferred;
Salesforce experience highly preferred.
