You will be working as a contractor for our client – NATO Communications & Information Agency (NCIA). NCIA was established on 1 July 2012 from a merger of several NATO entities. It has a 65-year legacy of supporting NATO operations, missions, and exercises and is on the front lines against cyber threats, protecting NATO s networks 24/7. NCIA provides expertise and services that are critical to NATO s ability to fulfill its core tasks of consultation, collective defence, and crisis management.

• Assists in performing 3rd level maintenance on all deployable and static CIS systems. Diagnoses, troubleshoots, maintains and repairs Transmission and SATCOM systems;
• Assists in performing overhauls, modifications, refurbishments, and upgrades to transmission systems as directed by the supervisor;
• Assists in planning, synchronizing, scheduling, and tracking of CSSC assets for corrective and preventative maintenance on all NATO CIS equipment based on Central, Operational, and Deployable Service Level Agreements;
• Assists in scheduling and tracking capability of CSSC activities in support of operations, exercises, projects static Communications Information Systems (CIS) and Deployable CIS (DCIS);
• Assists in directing, supervising, planning, coordinating, monitoring and reporting upon all technical work and ensures that all technical work is performed in line with Agency s, industrial and/or military standards;
• Assists in coordination with Resource Management Branch (RMB) in regards to execution, planning, technical, logistical, and asset issues;
• Develops detailed analysis of system deficiencies and provides advice on technical solutions in line with existing standards to ensure operational readiness for all customers and deployable Operational Systems Owners;
• Assists and monitors assigned technical tasks efficiently to ensure that they can be executed and are in line with set target dates. Explains and provides system technical and logistical advice to senior management and initiates necessary actions to ensure that set maintenance and project targets are met;
• Assists with design and configuration documentation on assigned projects and systems, including the required operating procedures and processes. Implements procedures, tools and techniques for monitoring and managing the performance of systems under maintenance and provides official reports;
• Assists and monitors all CIS equipment discrepancies; fully identifies, investigates, documents, reports and implements corrective actions in accordance with NCI Agency directives;
• Assists with KPI targets, and monitors progress against agreed quality and performance criteria.
• Provides effective feedback, throughout the performance management cycle, to ensure optimum performance;
• Deputize for higher grade staff, if required;
• Performs other duties as may be required; and
• Significant TDY will be required.

• Vocational training at a higher level in Telecommunications, Electronics, Electrical, or Computer Engineering or relevant discipline with 2 years of post-related experience. Or a secondary educational qualification with 4 years post-related experience within the past 8 years.
