Description

As a Project Manager, you play a pivotal role in driving the successful execution of key initiatives. You lead cross-functional teams, manage project timelines and budgets, and ensure alignment with organizational goals. Your expertise ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, directly contributing to the company's strategic objectives.

This role is a hybrid role. Candidates must reside in the Maryland, Virginia, or District of Columbia area.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Leads project planning efforts, defining scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Develops and maintains comprehensive project plans, tracking progress and identifying critical milestones.
• Manages project budgets, monitoring expenditures and ensuring adherence to financial guidelines.
• Identifies and mitigates project risks, developing contingency plans to address potential issues.
• Facilitates effective communication among project team members and stakeholders, providing regular updates and addressing concerns.
• Applies Agile methodologies and Scrum principles to manage projects iteratively and adapt to changing requirements.
• Leads daily Scrum meetings, sprint planning, and sprint reviews.
• Cultivates strong relationships with executive stakeholders, providing clear and concise project updates.
• Ensures projects adhere to compliance requirements and governance policies.
• Resolves project-related issues and escalates complex problems to appropriate stakeholders.
• Provides guidance and mentorship to project team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
• Manages time effectively, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines consistently.

Requirements

• Proficient in project planning and risk management techniques.
• Strong understanding of budget management principles.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Knowledge of compliance management and governance.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Must be able to travel to the DMV area as needed.
• Must have a Public Trust or able to obtain one

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 10 years of project management experience.
  • 5 years of DHS or ICE experience
• Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and Scrum framework.
• Experience in executive engagement and presentations.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Scrum Master certification.
