  • Bring extreme attention to detail, sense of accountability, and ability to follow through on time-sensitive deliverables to your full portfolio of work

  • Deftly navigate multiple meetings and concurrent requests within a fast-paced environment where priorities often shift

  • Demonstrate strong critical thinking, written and verbal communication skills

  • Enjoy managing and allocating resources based on changing priorities

Primary Responsibilities Include:

  • Foster productive relationships between Capital One and Federal Regulatory Supervisory staff by engaging with internal and external business partners, including senior leaders, to coordinate interactions with and responses to regulatory examiners

  • Connect dots across regulatory interactions, sharing learnings and best practices, and driving internal awareness of focus areas and potential sensitivities to minimize regulatory risk and ensure the company is exceeding expectations set forth by law, regulation, and agency guidance

  • Lead examination preparation activities (e.g., logistics management, fulfillment of responses to the examination request letter)

  • Oversee execution of the examination on-site activities (e.g., meetings, document requests, matrix management, daily calls, issue resolution).

  • Identify potential risk areas through review of policies, procedures, and related documents and influence potential corrective actions

  • Monitor corrective actions and ensure that they are on-track for appropriate and timely mitigation

  • Participate in and/or support policy-making advocacy activities with respect to banking and regulatory-related matters

Basic Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of experience in banking or financial services, operational or enterprise risk management, audit, consulting, regulatory agencies, or a combination
