Vaxcom Services LLC (a Parsons company) is looking for a part‑time Command Post shift lead to join our team! In this role you will support the program and personnel by playing a leadership role, ensuring continuity of operations, providing efficient communication, and performing various administrative tasks in a fast‑paced operational environment.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Working in a command post as part of a team that is responsible for operating and monitoring two‑way radio systems, responding and relaying messages accurately and timely between field personnel and the command post, maintaining radio traffic logs for both routine and emergency communications, and troubleshooting issues with radio equipment and systems.
  • Working as a shift lead as needed in the command post providing leadership, guidance, direction, and mentoring to teammates.
  • Providing operational support by assisting/coordinating/executing operational plans and activities in a changing environment.
  • Supporting response efforts by following established protocols for emergency and routine communication, and related supporting documentation required for after‑action reviews.
  • Providing timely updates and reports to supervisory personnel and client leadership, escalating complaints/issues when appropriate.
  • Coordinating and collaborating with other stakeholders on a regular basis to facilitate cohesive and efficient operations.
  • Performing administrative tasks including: managing/organizing documentation, reports, and records with a high degree of accuracy; data entry to update information to associated databases; and coordinating & scheduling meetings, training sessions, and events.
  • Providing customer service by acting as the point of contact for internal and external inquiries, providing required information and data to client leadership, and handling/resolving customer complaints/issues at the lowest level.
  • Performing other responsibilities/duties as required.
Required Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 3+ years experience working in a security related field; or 5+ years security related experience with no degree.
  • Experience working in a fast‑paced, stressful environment requiring timely decision making and good judgment.
  • Experience working as a team lead, shift supervisor, or a related leadership role whether formal or informal.
  • Outstanding organizational skills with demonstrated ability to prioritize information/tasks quickly.
  • Strong analytical skills to help facilitate timely decision making.
  • Outstanding written, verbal, and briefing communication skills to present information to team members and client leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders and customers in order to implement or change new and existing processes, procedures, and policies.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi‑task and manage issues with teammates.
Desired Skills
  • 2+ years experience working in a command post or related emergency call center environment.
  • Experience working with two‑way radios and related technical communications equipment, including performing basic repairs and testing.
  • 2+ years working in a formal supervisory capacity.
  • Experience being the point of contact and providing various stakeholders and customers with up‑to‑date information and guidance.
  • Ability to be proactive in identifying and resolving potential issues in advance of when they occur.
  • Experience working in/with the IC.
Security Clearance Requirement

An active Top Secret SCI w/Polygraph security clearance is required for this position.

This position is part of our Federal Solutions team.

Salary Range: $41.68 - $72.93
