As a Senior Manager, Category Management you will be responsible for the holistic relationship between Capital One and key third parties, enabling a well‑managed and adaptable supply chain. You will work closely with internal team members establishing and maintaining relationships with internal business customers, account teams and assigned suppliers. This role is essential in the delivery of key cost, risk, and performance management‑related efforts for third‑party relationships, in addition to identifying strategic opportunities for growth and/or greater return on investment.

Key responsibilities include:Negotiation:
Partner to negotiate contracts and deals for a fast paced, motivated business group within Capital OneProblem Solving & Strategy Advice:
Provide problem‑solving and innovative ideas to support internal customers. Identify value‑generating opportunities (e.g. savings, efficiencies, or revenue growth).Relationship Management:
Serve as a primary point of contact for third parties and manage an effective governance between Capital One and assigned third parties.Collaboration:
Build strong internal relationships with key stakeholders that creates alignment on business strategy and fosters ability to move quickly on desired business outcomes in a well managed way.Risk Management:
Monitor and ensure successful delivery against third party contractual obligations. Partner with internal risk groups to ensure third party relationships are compliant with all relevant policies and procedures.Process Management:
Accountable for policy requirements for all managed third‑party relationships. Plan and lead periodic reviews and assessments of supplier relationships.Supplier Sourcing:
Maintain awareness of external marketplace as it relates to your suppliers and perform sourcing activities where appropriate.Coaching and Mentoring:
Serving as a people manager, coach and mentor to develop less seasoned and experienced Supplier Managers in their development.
At least 4 years of experience in Supplier Management
At least 3 years of experience in Contract Management or Deal Negotiation
At least 2 years of experience in Risk or Relationship Management
At least 3 years of experience with people leadership
5+ years of experience in Supplier Management, Relationship Management or Procurement
3+ years of experience in Risk Management
5+ years of experience in Contract Management or Deal Negotiation
3+ years of experience in Operations, Process or Project Management

The minimum and maximum full‑time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part‑time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
