What you’ll do:As a Senior UX Strategist at Yoko Co, your work will focus primarily on large, content-rich websites and digital platforms. This is a strategic, advisory role centered on helping organizations make smarter decisions about how their web presence supports their mission and goals. You’ll operate at both the strategic and execution layers; shaping structure and architecture at a high level, while also providing direction and feedback on tactics and implementation.
- Lead strategic discovery and direction
- Frame problems, define goals, and articulate the “why” behind strategic direction and guide project direction
- Facilitate discovery workshops, stakeholder interviews, and research efforts
- Translate insight into action
- Synthesize research into clear, actionable UX and content strategies
- Create and guide high-quality UX deliverables (personas, user journeys, information architectures, sitemaps, wireframes)
- Guide teams through complexity
- Partner closely with designers, developers, and project managers to translate needs, requirements and guide outcomes across all project participants
- Ensure strategy, design, and implementation remain aligned throughout the lifecycle
- Advise and challenge clients
- Act as a trusted advisor, helping clients make informed decisions — even when it means challenging assumptions
- Communicate confidently with executives and stakeholders
- Think in systems
- Consider content, UX, analytics, web technology, marketing automation, and operational realities together
- Balance ideal experiences with technical and organizational constraints
- Support team growth
- Mentor other strategists and contribute to shared learning
- Help evolve internal processes, frameworks, and standards
- Have deep experience in UX and digital strategy, ideally in an agency environment
- Have deep experience guiding C‑Suite leaders through digital transformation projects
- Have led 25+ complex website or digital projects, from discovery through launch
- Are highly skilled in UX methods, including:
- Research and interviews
- Personas and user journeys
- Information architecture and taxonomy
- Usability testing and iteration
- Understand content strategy, SEO, analytics, and marketing principles, and how they intersect with UX
- Are fluent in common platforms and tools (e.g., Word Press, Hub Spot, Google Analytics, GTM, CMS ecosystems)
- Are fluent in web technology and systems to guide technical scoping and implementation of web projects
- Can navigate ambiguity and make thoughtful decisions with incomplete information
- Communicate with clarity, empathy, and confidence across disciplines and seniority levels
- Are adaptable and collaborative — willing to step in where needed to help the team succeed
