Position Overview:

The Project Manager (PM) will provide overall leadership and coordination to support successful contract performance within a Federal Government environment. This role serves as the primary point of contact for key Government stakeholders and ensures clear communication, stakeholder alignment, and timely resolution of issues that may impact delivery.

The ideal candidate brings experience managing complex, stakeholder-driven projects, leading cross-functional teams, and applying Agile methodology to enable transparency, collaboration, and continuous improvement in support of mission outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage contract performance, ensuring high-quality delivery in accordance with schedule, requirements, and stakeholder expectations.

  • Serve as the primary liaison between key stakeholders, ensuring consistent communication and alignment on priorities and outcomes.

  • Support sprint planning and delivery execution by organizing work, tracking progress, and ensuring the team remains focused on agreed-upon objectives.

  • Maintain visibility into project status through clear reporting on deliverables, timelines, risks, dependencies, and team capacity.

  • Coordinate team activities and resource needs, ensuring staff remain aligned to priorities, deadlines, and performance expectations.

  • Facilitate Agile delivery rhythms, including team check-ins, working sessions, and stakeholder touchpoints to promote transparency and accountability.

  • Identify and remove blockers that may impact team velocity, delivery timelines, or quality outcomes.

  • Partner with stakeholders to manage evolving priorities while maintaining traceability, delivery discipline, and performance expectations.

  • Promote a culture of collaboration, responsiveness, and quality, ensuring deliverables meet Government standards and mission needs.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Information Systems, or related field.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in project or contract management, preferably supporting Federal Government customers.

  • Proven experience leading project delivery efforts, including planning, coordination, execution oversight, and issue resolution.

  • Demonstrated ability to serve as a primary point of contact and manage communications with Government or executive-level stakeholders.

  • Advanced knowledge of Agile methodology and experience supporting Agile-informed delivery environments.

  • Strong understanding of project management fundamentals, including scheduling, documentation, reporting, and performance oversight.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Agile-focused certification(s) such as PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM I/II), or SAFe Agilist (SA).

  • Experience managing projects in a Federal Government environment, supporting structured coordination across contracting, program leadership, and mission stakeholders.

  • Familiarity working in a compliance-driven setting where delivery oversight, accountability, and clear communication are essential.

  • Experience managing cross-functional teams across technical and non-technical work streams.

  • Familiarity with project tracking and collaboration tools such as Jira, Smartsheet, SharePoint, or Microsoft Teams.

Soft Skills:
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate challenges and drive solutions.

  • Excellent communication skills, capable of translating status, risk, and priorities into clear updates for both technical and non-technical audiences.
