Data Engineer

This role is for a Data Engineer focused on production support in McLean, VA. The position requires 2–5 years of experience with PySpark and AWS, along with strong troubleshooting skills. Contract length is unspecified, and pay rate is unknown.

We are hiring a Data Engineer to support enterprise‑scale data platforms within a highly regulated environment. This role is focused on production support and reliability of data pipelines. The ideal candidate has strong troubleshooting skills, experience supporting Spark jobs in production, and comfort working within AWS‑based data ecosystems. It is a hands‑on production support role, not a pure development role.

• Monitor and support PySpark‑based data pipelines
• Troubleshoot production incidents and perform root cause analysis
• Support AWS environments including EMR, EKS, S3, Glue, and Step Functions
• Manage workflows using Control‑M
• Support data platforms leveraging Snowflake or MongoDB
• Analyze logs and proactively resolve system issues
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams

• 2–5 years of Data Engineering experience
• Strong PySpark skills
• Advanced SQL experience
• Python programming
• AWS experience (EMR, EKS, S3, Glue, Step Functions)
• Production support experience
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills

• Experience with Control‑M
• Experience with Snowflake or MongoDB
• Experience with Elasticsearch

• C2C allowed
• OPT, H1B, GC, OC OK

• 5 days onsite in McLean, VA is mandatory
• Junior to mid‑level candidates acceptable
