Solutions Architect

Pay From: $160,000 Per Year

MUST
  • Required certification in IT (technical or management).
  • Certifications in one or more technology areas like AWS, Azure, Cybersecurity, etc.
  • Certification in one or more management areas like Project Management, IT Service Delivery, etc.
  • 8 yrs min of experience in IT, Cyber, or technical services.
  • 4 yrs min working as a Solution's Architect, supporting proposal development.
  • Preferred exp as the lead Solutions Architecture on major contract proposals and successfully captured and won multiple contracts from solutions they directly developed.
  • Strong knowledge of technology and high-level architectures.
  • Strong grasp on industry best practices in IT, Cybersecurity, and associated areas like Project Management, Agile, Dev Ops, etc.
  • Working knowledge of cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Experience working in the defense industry or with government contracts.
  • Knowledge of ITIL and other IT service management frameworks.
  • Experience with Dev Ops practices and tools.
  • Strong understanding of network and systems architecture and protocols.
  • Experience with data analytics and big data technologies.
  • Knowledge of artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Experience in leading technical teams and managing projects or proposals.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Bachelor's degree in IT or related technical field or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Preferred master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
DUTIES
  • The Solutions Architect will support capture strategy by working with program teams to help shape existing contracts by implementing new improvements, innovations, or technical solutions.
  • Lead all aspects of the solution, including technical, management, transition, and initial staffing mix.
  • Provide early support to understand customer requirements and shape the acquisition.
  • Develop, plan, and implement a solutions strategy as needed.
  • Influence technical requirements and develop technical white papers.
  • Collaborate with domain experts to brainstorm, design, and develop the solution.
  • Develop artifacts needed to describe and present all solution elements throughout the capture process.
  • Provide feedback for cost/capability tradeoffs to inform pricing strategy.
  • Ensure the proposed solution is consistent with customer architectural direction and satisfies requirements, compliance, and evaluation criteria.
  • Coordinate and co-lead Blue Team Reviews and subsequent solution iteration workshops.
  • Lead the entire solution team in the development/delivery of proposal assignments and all associated artifacts.
  • Lead the design of technical, management, and transition stories.
  • Identify domain knowledge experts and gaps.
  • Manage the delivery/quality of all assigned volumes throughout color reviews.
  • Identify and develop labor categories for technical and management positions, and support staffing of Key Personnel as required.
  • Provide support to the development of Capture/Proposal schedules.
  • Ensure alignment of the Solution story between volumes.
  • Lead the development of BOE/BOM in coordination with the Pricing Lead.
  • Plan and direct demonstrations as needed.
  • Identify risks and develop mitigation plans for inclusion in the proposal.
  • Support capture strategy by working with program teams to help shape existing contracts by implementing new improvements, innovations, or technical solutions.
