Scrum Master

10 is currently seeking a Scrum Master for a contract to hire position with a Major Financial Services Firm located in McLean, VA.

The ideal candidate is an experienced Scrum Master who will facilitate Agile practices and ceremonies, remove team impediments, and guide the team to become self‑organized and self‑managed. This individual will also be responsible for training the team and ensuring adherence to project controls. They will be managing 2-3 agile pods working closely with the product team.

• Facilitate the creation of a self‑organized, self‑managed team that can identify and deliver the work that can be completed in a time‑boxed Iteration
• Train the team on the organization's Agile methodology, processes and controls
• Ensure the project team adheres to Agile Project controls
• Remove team impediments and facilitate Agile practices

• 7-10 years of experience
• Minimum of Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Agile Certified Scrum Master (PMI‑ACP)
• Five or more years of direct experience in one or more aspects of Information Technology (Software design/development, IT Architecture or other related IT areas)
• Two or more years of explicit experience as an Agile Scrum Master of an Agile delivery team, preferably in a variety of situations including large organizations
• Prior experience working as a Scrum Coach and have a solid understanding of software delivery practices
• Hands‑on coaching experience, including ability to navigate team dynamics and personalities
• Strong product mindset with the ability to understand the product being supported and proactively identify and manage dependencies and risks

• Experience with IBM's Disciplined Agile Delivery
• Effective facilitation skills
• Effective coaching and mentoring skills
• Ability to thrive in a highly ambiguous, fast paced environment where priorities shift rapidly
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to identify win‑win solutions
• Effective influence, collaboration and negotiation skills
• Hands‑on Jira tool experience

$61.00 - $71.00 per Hour
