Role Overview — Sr. Business Analyst
The Senior Business Analyst joins Capital One’s Talent Acquisition Assessment & Analysis team within Enterprise Human Resources. This team uses strategic thinking, advanced analytics, and research to improve pre-hire talent decisions.
In this role, you will solve complex, open-ended problems related to sourcing, selecting, and converting top talent. You will partner with HR leaders, executives, and analysts to shape talent strategy, automate real-time insights, and enhance data-driven hiring decisions.
What You’ll DoYour work will focus on improving talent acquisition through analytics, experimentation, and strategic collaboration:
- Develop analytical models that help recruiters identify high-quality candidates.
- Use data and experimentation to optimize candidate selection processes alongside Industrial/Organizational Psychologists.
- Design methods to measure and improve interviewer engagement and effectiveness.
- Support initiatives that enhance candidate and associate experience through data insights.
- Partner with stakeholders to identify high-impact opportunities to improve candidate and associate experiences.
- Conduct analysis and present insights that inform strategic solutions.
- Build analytics solutions and programs, including measurement strategy, attribution modeling, and automated insights.
- Design and run experiments to understand key drivers of candidate and associate behavior.
- Evaluate program impact and combine findings with organizational science research.
- Provide data-driven recommendations to support informed decision-making.

- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (Business, Math, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Science, or Engineering).
- At least 1 year of analytical experience

- Master’s degree in Business or a quantitative field.
- 2+ years of quantitative analysis experience.
- 2+ years of SQL experience.
- 2+ years of Business Analysis experience.
- 2+ years of consulting experience.
Capital One may sponsor employment authorization for qualified candidates.
Compensation (By Location)- McLean, VA: $111,200 – $126,900
- Richmond, VA: $101,100 – $115,400
Actual compensation depends on location and experience. The role may also include performance-based incentives such as bonuses or long-term incentives.
