• Engage with technical experts from different domains to address and solve complex Information Security challenges and issues
• Provide input into infrastructure investment decisions and strategies
• Provide technical leadership to infrastructure teams in adoption and implementation of security technologies
• Lead implementation security design/integration of critical initiatives from the Technology Services strategy
• Provide guidance over general information security activities and concerns of the organization’s infrastructure function including governance, policy, design, general operational effectiveness and internal controls
• Provide technical leadership in integration of technologies and products for encryption, LDAP Directory integration, cloud integration, identity management, vulnerability management
• Troubleshoot complex systemic issues to identify security issues versus general issues with technology

• 15+ years of demonstrable experience to understand and troubleshoot across various levels of infrastructure (networking, operating systems, hardware, middleware, application stack, security)
• Immediate ability to understand and troubleshoot deployment of infrastructure across various network segments with differing levels of packet filtering
• In-depth knowledge of networking and application protocols (HTTP, HTTPS, SSH, SMTP, SNMP, etc.)
• Extensive experience with PKI engineering, implementation, and support
• Ability to master new, emerging technologies and create designs based on them, while teaching and filling knowledge gaps for other engineers
• Understanding of technologies at a process level, explaining the criteria processes use to execute tasks and how they interact with network traffic
• Capability to interface with personnel from Help Desk, Desktop Support, Server Administration, Virtualization, and Infrastructure
• Strong analytical skills, ability to delegate tasks based on personnel strengths, and make judgment calls on infrastructure changes weighing risk, benefit, and personnel management
• Mentoring experience for engineering leads and below
• Excellent communication skills to explain complex technology simply and optimally
• Master’s degree in engineering, applied science or mathematics
• U.S. Citizen or GC holder (required for this contract)
