Job Description The Sr. Data Modeler will work closely with project teams to understand business requirements and provide data modeling subject matter expertise. Strong quantitative and analytic skills are required.
The Sr. Data Modeler will:
Develop logical and physical data modelsMap logical entities to the enterprise Canonical Data ModelDevelop, test, and implement scripts, programs, and related processes to collect, manage, and publish DEV and PROD metadata from data modelsPromote data models into production metadata environmentsSupport post-production validation of DDLProvide Level of Efforts (LOEs), activity status, identify dependencies impacting deliverables, identify risks and mitigation plans, identify issues and impactsQualifications
Bachelor Degree from an accredited university with coursework in Business, Information Technology, or Engineering.
8-10 years of data modeling and metadata management experience.Experience with both relational and dimensional data modelingExperience with data management standards and data model practicesExperience with query capabilities such as Visual Basic macro development and SQLExperience with physical data structure design in DB2, UDB, Oracle, Sybase, and/or SQL Server using ER/Studio DA or ERwinMortgage/finance industry data modeling experienceAdditional Qualifications
