Job Title: Sr. SAS Data Analyst

Job Description:

Our client, a top-tier Management Consulting firm, is seeking a Senior Business/Data Analyst to analyze legacy SAS scripts, derive data lineage and transformation logic, and support enterprise data modernization initiatives. This role requires strong analytical capabilities, hands‑on experience with SAS and SQL, and the ability to translate complex logic into clear, actionable requirements for development teams. The ideal candidate will work closely with Product Owners and cross‑functional teams to ensure accurate analysis, documentation, and delivery of high‑quality data solutions.

SAS Scripts, SQL, Data Analysis, Conduct Pre‑Demos, Testing, Working closely with Product Owner, etc.

• 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Data Analyst
• Strong experience analyzing legacy SAS scripts to derive data lineage, transformation logic, and business rules
• Proficiency in SQL for data analysis, validation, and discovery
• Ability to perform data visualization and summarization to communicate findings effectively
• Collaborate closely with the Product Owner to gather, refine, and interpret business requirements
• Conduct pre‑demos to stakeholders to validate understanding and direction
• Communicate and collaborate effectively with development teams throughout the project lifecycle
• Create clear and complete acceptance criteria and support end‑to‑end testing activities
• Prepare comprehensive project documentation, including lineage logic, technical rules, and process workflows
• Experience working in Agile environments, including Jira for story creation and tracking
• Familiarity with APIs, UI workflows, and ALM tools
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly
• Highly self‑driven, detail‑oriented, and able to make informed decisions
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights
