Fuel Systems Architect – SME McLean, VA
Job Description Fuel is seeking a Systems Architect who can work independently as part of a small team of system engineers responsible for maintaining a homogeneous Windows and Linux-based architecture. The system environment includes virtual and bare-metal servers. The team supports 24x7 operations. The position will primarily focus on operating system, domain services, application integration, and design, but the small team size requires flexibility to take on additional duties without heavy reliance on documented procedures.
Responsibilities

Familiarity with the Linux Operating SystemVirtual Desktop provisioningExperience working with syslog applications such as SplunkConfiguring and supporting virtualized compute environmentsDesigning, configuring, and troubleshooting server backup and replication solutionsImplementing and troubleshooting anti-virus management platforms such as McAfee ePOSkills and Experience:5+ years of experience with domain services (DNS, SMTP, user administration, group policies, certificate management)5+ years of experience with multi-site Windows Active Directory domains5+ years of experience with Windows Active Directory group policies, security policies, and user account administration5+ years of system administration support for Windows Server machines5+ years of scripting experience (Python, Perl, Power Shell, VBScript, Bash)5+ years of experience with web servers (IIS, Apache, Tomcat, Nginx)Experience configuring and troubleshooting print serversDeployment and configuration of server-side applicationsCreating standard baseline images for workstations and serversDefining resource requirements and standards for desktopsAbility to collaborate with systems administrators, storage administrators, application developers, and network engineers to solve complex problemsBachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience10-15 years of experience in network analysis and designTop Secret clearance with FS PolygraphAbout Fuel
