Fuel is seeking a Data Engineer to join our growing team. The Data Engineer will manipulate data and data flows for both existing and new systems. Additionally, they will provide support in data extraction, transformation, and load (ETL), data mapping, data extraction, analytical support, operational support, database support, and maintenance of data and related systems. Candidates will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment requiring experience with large-scale database development, data modeling, data testing, data quality, and documentation.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of software engineering and ETL experience.
• Experience with NiFi or Pentaho for data flows.
• Strong organizational and team skills.

• Languages:
  
  Java/J2EE, C, C++, SQL, XML, XQuery, XPath, Ruby on Rails, HTML/XHTML, CSS, Python, Shell Scripting, JSON.
• Knowledge of Windows, Linux, Distributed Computing, Cloud infrastructure.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of database methodologies.
• Proactive approach to process improvement.
• Ability to follow directions and complete tasks.
