Responsibilities- Serve as technical lead on projects to design and develop AI/ML solutions for clients' unique requirements, including gathering business use case requirements and providing analytics expertise.
- Engineer solutions using NLP and machine learning to address problems in markets and financial services (e.g., trade surveillance, electronic communications, payments fraud detection, third‑party risk management).
- Apply ML, NLP, and statistical methods such as sentiment analysis, topic modeling, time‑series analysis, regression, classification, and inference to review client risks.
- Perform explanatory data analyses, generate and test hypotheses, and identify patterns to develop innovative solutions to regulatory compliance programs.
- Lead technical teams, mentor junior data scientists, and grow data science expertise across broader teams, including offshore, ensuring that solutions meet stakeholder requirements.
- Present findings and solution architecture to key stakeholders.
- Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG’s respectful and courteous work environment.
- Minimum six years of recent professional experience in advanced analytics and data science; at least two years of recent experience managing teams and delivering complex projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (data science, computer science, engineering, mathematics, physics, etc.).
- Extensive experience in AI/ML algorithm development and data analysis, including NLP, time‑series, or predictive modeling; proficiency with scripting, data structures, and handling large data sets.
- Experience with a statistical programming language such as R or Python and related packages (Pandas, Scikit‑learn, Pytorch, Transformers).
- Excellent communication, written, presentation, and problem‑solving skills.
- Previous technical client service experience preferred.
- Ability to travel as required.
