Credence has an immediate need for an exceptionally skilled and highly technical Program Manager to lead a large, dynamic team supporting Department of War (DoW) mission‑critical workloads operating within a multi‑tenant AWS IL‑5 environments. This role involves oversight of secure, continuous operations in a 24x7x365 managed services setting, ensuring resilience, compliance, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will combine deep technical expertise with strategic leadership to drive transformation and innovation in SRE 2.0, AI Software Factory, Agentic AI, AIOps, and Fin Ops, advancing the state of managed cloud operations for defense clients.
You will be accountable for a multi‑million‑dollar program, supporting some of the DoW’s most critical and secure workloads.
- Provide overall leadership, direction, and oversight for large‑scale, mission‑critical AWS IL‑5 cloud programs supporting DoW operations.
- Manage 24x7x365 operations teams delivering high‑availability, compliant, and secure managed services across multiple cloud environments.
- Serve as the primary customer interface, providing clear, proactive communication on program performance, risks, and technical strategy.
- Lead multidisciplinary teams of engineers, architects, Sec Ops and Dev Sec Ops professionals ensuring operational continuity and performance.
- Drive innovation through adoption of modern practices including SRE 2.0, AI/ML‑driven automation, Agentic AI, AIOps, Sec Ops and Fin Ops for intelligent cost and performance management.
- Establish and maintain robust program governance and organizational structures for effective contract and personnel management.
- Implement and provide continuous improvement initiatives on Operations management including matured Observability practices.
- Champion continuous improvement and transformation initiatives across cloud infrastructure and operations teams.
- Interface directly with government PMOs and mission stakeholders.

- Applicants must be U.S. citizens and capable of obtaining a DoD Secret clearance (minimum IT‑II / Tier
3). Candidates with an active clearance are strongly preferred. - Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems).
- Project or Program Management certification – PMP or equivalent.
- AWS Certification (Associate required; Professional preferred).
- ITIL 4 Certification Foundation required.
- Knowledge of CMMI processes and best practices.
- 5+ years of experience in program management.
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in IT or consulting within the public or private sector.
- Proven experience managing complex AWS IL‑5 workloads under a Managed Services Provider (MSP) model.
- Experience leading 24x7x365 operations teams supporting critical infrastructure and cloud services.
