The Commercial Bank (CML) HR Business Partner team is hiring a Manager to support key HR priorities within our Product and Treasury Management organization. The Manager plays a critical role in delivering people initiatives and talent strategy. The ideal candidate will exhibit strong relationship building, influencing, communication, and problem solving skills; who thrives in a fast paced, collaborative, and values-oriented team.
Roles and ResponsibilitiesConsult with clients, other HRBPs, and HR partner groups (People Analytics, Recruiting, Compensation, Associate Relations, etc.) to effectively execute on people strategy, HR processes, and reporting
Partner with clients to build effective relationships, manage stakeholders, and understand business imperatives to execute on HR solutions that are aligned to the business needs
Proactively explore, pilot, and integrate emerging technologies, including AI and machine learning tools to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of core HR processes and talent strategies
Support the planning and delivery of core HR processes ranging from performance and talent management, leadership development, change management, and organizational design
Develop walk-around decks, communications, data analysis, and training materials to be used in preparing managers and associates; may include facilitator or “train the trainer” sessions
Coach people managers on leadership, organizational design, and performance concerns (leveraging Capital One’s Include/Empower/Inspire framework)
Bachelor’s Degree or military experience
At least 3 years of client-facing experience or consulting experience
At least 3 years of experience in human resources
At least 2 years of experience in project or process management
MBA or Master’s Degree
Professional Human Resources Certification or Senior Professional Human Resources certification or coaching certification
6+ years of client-facing experience or 6+ years of consulting experience or a combination
4+ years of experience in Human Resources or Human Capital Consulting

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
McLean, VA: $151,900 - $173,400 for Manager, HR Business Partner
Richmond, VA: $138,100 - $157,700 for Manager, HR Business Partner
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered will be reflected in the offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance-based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonuses and/or long-term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non-discretionary depending on the plan.
