We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team in McLean, VA
. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for our employees, with a strong command of Deltek Costpoint and a working knowledge of ADP systems. This position requires a high degree of accuracy, discretion, and customer service.

• Process bi-weekly and/or semi-monthly payrolls using ADP Workforce Now for approximately 500 employees in a fast‑paced, deadline driven environment.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
• Import semi-monthly timesheets via electronic Time and Expense system into Deltek Costpoint Accounting system.
• Maintain and update employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, and changes.
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, deductions, and tax with holdings.
• Collaborate with HR and Accounting teams to ensure proper flow and maintenance of employee data.
• Assist with payroll reconciliations, audits, and year‑end reporting, including W‑2 and 941 filings.
• Support ADP‑related tasks as needed, such as benefits integration or reporting.
• Stay current on payroll best practices and relevant labor laws.

• 2-4 years of payroll processing experience, preferably in a government contracting environment.
• Hands‑on experience with Deltek Costpoint is required.
• Familiarity with ADP platforms (such as Workforce Now or Run) is a plus.
• Knowledge of federal and state wage and hour laws.
• Strong Excel skills and general proficiency with MS Office Suite.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with integrity.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience supporting payroll for cleared personnel or within the defense contracting industry.
• Knowledge of fringe benefits, DCAA compliance, and labor category structures.

• In‑office work may be required based on operational needs but flexibility on some hybrid work after initial training period.
• Collaborative team environment with opportunities for cross‑training and growth.
