Medical Assistant

Overview Premise Health is hiring a Medical Assistant. Premise’s mission is to help people get, stay, and be well. Candidates will work full‑time in our Health Center in McLean, VA, and will provide care to client employees and their dependents.

Scheduled hours:
Monday‑Thursday 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.;
Friday 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

• Interview patients and measure vital signs (pulse, temperature, blood pressure, weight, height).
• Maintain patient health records to ensure accuracy and up‑to‑date information.
• Prepare treatment rooms, clean and sterilize instruments.
• Administer medication, including injections; conduct laboratory tests and operate EKGs and other diagnostic equipment as permitted by state regulations.
• Perform administrative tasks: assisting at the front desk, scheduling appointments, making follow‑up calls, and ordering medical supplies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• National certification in Medical Assisting from a Premise Health‑approved organization or a certificate/diploma and transcripts from an accredited Medical Assistant program with a completed externship (online courses are not accepted).
• Current certification with hands‑on training in AHA, ARC, or an equivalent Basic Life Support minul required for health care providers.
• Previous Medical Assistant experience is preferred.
