Somatus is on the hunt for a visionary Senior Vice President of Financial Planning to lead at the crossroads of strategy, innovation, and impact. This isn’t just a finance role. In this high-impact position, you’ll steer Corporate FP&A and operational finance, partnering with leaders across Med Econ, Analytics, Clinical Performance, and Provider Finance.

- Lead performance management tied to key metrics and business drivers that inform strategic decisions.
- Deliver timely, reliable financial analysis and performance metrics to executive and senior leadership and the Board, including forecasting, budgeting, and resource planning.
- Manage the enterprise budget process and consolidate brand-level budgets in to a unified financial plan.
- Streamline systems and processes to improve efficiency and quality.
- Support capital raising by preparing due diligence materials and presenting data in a clear and compelling way that supports the company’s narrative.
- Develop long-term financial strategies to position the company for a successful IPO.
- Collaborate with Actuary and Med Econ to structure pricing and contract terms for profitability.
- Improve data alignment and reconciliation to enhance contract and member performance.
- Use analytics to identify healthcare cost trends and drivers.
- Partner with teams to evaluate initiatives addressing cost trends.
- Design provider incentives that balance impact and budget.
- Payment Integrity Product Areas:
Clinical Claim Review, Payment Analytics, Fraud Capture, Utilization Review
- Lead product development strategy and execution.
- Ensure product roadmaps and documentation are in place.
- Build business cases to secure development funding.
- Own revenue and expense targets.
- Maintain systems to monitor risks and opportunities.
- Apply financial analysis to optimize revenue.
- Track product expansion and yield against targets.
- Guide implementation team on solution architecture and project delivery.
- Develop provider incentives and contracts in collaboration with engagement and operations teams.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Renal IQ and communicate data insights in provider meetings.

RequiredEducation and Experience
- A financial leader with a growth mindset – Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, with demonstrated ability to lead in rapidly evolving environments or scaling public companies.
- A credentialed professional with business insight - MBA and CPA certification or equivalent strongly preferred.
- A public company expert with audit experience – Previous experience working for a publicly listed organization or within an audit firm, such as Big 4 or similar.
- A compliance advocate with reporting expertise – Strong knowledge of private and public company reporting, audits, and regulatory compliance.
- A systems-focused problem solver – Strong experience with cloud-based accounting platforms, ideally with a background in system implementation.
- A clear communicator and collaborative partner – Excellent communication and team leadership abilities to work effectively with internal teams and external auditors.
- A strategic contributor with hands-on experience – Proven ability to manage both strategic initiatives and detailed financial tasks in a dynamic environment.
- A team developer with long-term impact – Demonstrated history of career growth and retention in previous roles.
