Senior Tax Manager

Are you a client-focused tax professional who enjoys being a trusted advisor—not just a compliance reviewer? Our growing client is seeking a Senior Tax Manager to serve as the technical tax expert on a collaborative financial planning team while leading high-quality client service and mentoring talent.

What You’ll Do

• Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships as the tax subject-matter expert

• Attend client meetings and deliver customized tax planning strategies

• Partner closely with financial advisors to support integrated tax planning

• Lead tax client service teams for compliance and planning engagements

• Review and sign federal & state tax returns (individuals, corporations, partnerships, trusts & estates)

• Oversee tax projections, audits, and complex research matters

• Play an active role in onboarding new clients

• Coach and develop team members through real-time feedback and mentorship

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required

• CPA, JD, or EA required (Master’s in Taxation or JD preferred)

• 5+ years of experience with individual, partnership, fiduciary, estate & gift tax compliance

• Strong knowledge of the Internal Revenue Code, regulations, and tax research

• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel), Adobe Acrobat; experience with CCH Axcess Tax, BNA Tax Planner, BNA Portfolios, RIA Checkpoint preferred

• Experience with ADP, Quick Books, and CRM systems (Salesforce a plus)
• ⏱ Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment

• Excellent communication skills and comfort working with a highly collaborative team
