Job SummaryInvestment Banking Summer Analysts work within the Capital Markets & Advisory area, providing high‑level analysis and support on transactions such as public and private debt, equity financings, mergers and acquisitions, and financial advisory. Analysts will develop financial skills, gain exposure to a breadth of financial products, and contribute to projects with significant scope and impact.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Develop financial models to assess debt and equity financing alternatives for transactions.
- Perform valuation methodologies, including comparative company analysis and discounted cash flow analysis, on target companies.
- Provide meaningful input to equity offerings, valuations, private placements, mergers and acquisitions advisories.
- Research, analyze, present and document drafting elements of developing transactions.
- Collaborate with Senior Bankers to develop strategies for client presentations and create unique materials.
- Analyze industry events and provide input on the impact of critical issues on current and prospective clients and deals.
- Maintain group databases for research and analysis.
- Perform additional duties as assigned, including those requiring independent judgment and discretion on matters of business significance.
- Fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of Investment Banking.
- Fundamental investment concepts, practices, and procedures used in the securities industry.
- Concepts, practices, and procedures of Tax and Accounting.
- Financial markets and products.
- Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Apply analytical skills to assess and explain market events.
- Employ problem‑solving and solution‑design skills.
- Think independently and develop ideas and strategies.
- Utilize technology and systems to produce reports, communications, and presentations.
- Gather information, identify linkages and trends, and apply findings to reports.

- Think independently on matters of significance to market ideas.
- Organize, manage, and track multiple detailed tasks and assignments with shifting priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
