Location:

Anywhere in the country. EY is seeking a Seasonal Manager in Tax Accounting and Risk Advisory Services (TARAS) for the Banking and Capital Markets sector. The TARAS practice supports clients with all aspects of financial reporting for income taxes, including tax accounting, tax provision procedures, and controls design and testing.

Role:
Seasonal Tax-Financial Services Organization - GCR Tax Accounting and Risk Advisory - BCM Manager. This position involves providing tax guidance and consulting related to tax accounting and planning, assisting with the preparation of the tax provision, and reviewing processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and control environments, including Sarbanes-Oxley considerations.

• Provide clients with tax guidance and consulting related to tax accounting and planning (internal restructurings, acquisitions, dispositions, carve-out financial statements, GAAP conversions between US GAAP and IFRS).
• Assist companies with all aspects of their tax provision preparation.
• Review tax provision processes to improve efficiency and accuracy and enhance the control environment; assess tax risk and control environments, including but not limited to Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404.
• Engage in tax accounting projects and consulting, including tax provision preparation and related advisory work.
• Support process and controls enhancements and identify, prioritize, monitor, and remediate key tax risks.

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field with significant tax or legal experience; MST, MAcc, or JD/LLM preferred.
• Valid US CPA license or active state bar membership.
• Minimum of 5 years of work experience in professional services, tax organization, law firm, or IRS.
• Broad understanding and experience with federal income taxation.
• Strong analytical skills, written/verbal communication, interpersonal, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail.

• Strong ASC 740 and/or IAS 12 experience; experience in corporate tax planning and compliance; broad exposure to federal income taxation.
