OverviewM.C. Dean is seeking graphic design/Multimedia interns to support our Marketing & Communications department. These paid positions offer an exciting opportunity for candidates to gain cross‑disciplinary experience in support of strategic marketing and market intelligence, branding, web development, social media, internal communications and corporate social responsibility within a dynamic team.

ResponsibilitiesSupport the Marketing & Communications department by creating visual content, assisting with multimedia production, and contributing to branding and web development projects. Work on social media, internal communications, and corporate social responsibility initiatives.
Required Skills / Qualifications- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
- Experience with multimedia editing tools such as Premiere Pro, Lightroom, and Audition
- Proficiency in camera skills and a basic understanding of photo editing and composition
- Understanding of lighting and audio mixing
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Demonstrate creativity and technical skills in all aspects of graphic design including concepts, typography, imagery, color and layout
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and prioritize jobs/assignments
- Ability to work independently and function effectively as a member of a team
- Analytical thinking and creative problem‑solving skills
- High level of spoken and written communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills
- Eagerness to learn fast, work hard, and produce quality work
- Ability to work under tight deadlines
- Availability to work full time (40 hours/week) during the summer
- Willingness to travel to project sites and capture video and photo content
Preferred Experience
- Familiarity with SharePoint, Word Press and content management systems
- Basic HTML and CSS experience
- Multimedia basics including photography and videography
- Familiarity with Adobe XD and Adobe Express
- Basic experience with video shooting, editing, and storytelling
- Familiarity with After Effects or similar tools for animation and visual effects
- Basic understanding of visual identity and the ability to align designs with brand guidelines
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program in Graphic Design or equivalent
- Taken courses in advanced Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign techniques
- Exposure to computer screens for an extended period of time
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time
- Reach by extending hands or arms in any direction
- Finger dexterity to manipulate objects with fingers rather than whole hands or arms, for example, using a keyboard
- Listen to and understand information presented through spoken words and sentences
- Communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand
- Read and understand information presented in writing
- Apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense
- Identify and understand the speech of another person
